Dalmec Service Reports -- install

Install the field engineer app on your Surface tablet. Pick the option that suits you. Ask JDD support if any step fails.

Option A -- Portable ZIP

No certificate trust, no admin rights. Download, extract, run. Windows will show a one-time "unrecognized app" warning; click More info then Run anyway. Works on any Windows 10/11 x64.

1 Download the ZIP.

Download Dalmec.InspectionsApp.zip

2 Right-click the downloaded file → Extract All → OK.

3 Open the extracted folder → double-click Dalmec.InspectionsApp.exe. On the SmartScreen dialog, click More info → Run anyway.

Trade-off: no automatic update. Grab a fresh ZIP from this page whenever a new version ships.

Option B -- MSIX installer (auto-update)

Installs as a proper Windows app with automatic updates on launch. Requires a one-time certificate trust step and administrator rights.

1 Trust the JDD certificate. Download JDD-Dalmec-InspectionsApp.cer, right-click it → Install Certificate → Local Machine → approve UAC → "Place all certificates in the following store" → Browse → Trusted People → OK.

2 Enable sideloading. Settings → Privacy & security → For developers → toggle Developer Mode ON.

3 Install.

Install Dalmec Service Reports (MSIX)

Publisher will show as JDD Agency Software. This is the correct publisher. If it shows Unknown, the certificate is not trusted -- redo step 1 in Local Machine (not Current User).
