Dalmec Service Reports

Install the field engineer app on your Surface tablet. Ask JDD support if any step fails.

Step 1 -- Trust the JDD certificate

1 Download the JDD signing certificate and install it to Local Machine -> Trusted People.

Right-click the downloaded .cer file -> Install Certificate -> Local Machine -> Place all certificates in the following store -> Browse -> Trusted People -> OK.

Step 2 -- Enable app sideloading

2 Open Settings -> Privacy & security -> For developers and toggle Developer Mode ON. Windows will prompt to install the Developer Mode package -- allow it and reboot if requested.

Step 3 -- Install the app

3 Click the button below. Windows will open the App Installer, which downloads the MSIX bundle and installs the app.

Publisher will show as JDD Agency Software. This is the correct publisher.

Updates

After installation the app checks for updates every time you launch it. You do not need to re-visit this page for future versions.

Troubleshooting

"App package could not be installed. Untrusted." -- Step 1 not done, or cert placed in the wrong store. It must be Local Machine / Trusted People, not Current User.
"Sideloading is not enabled." -- Step 2 not done. Enable Developer Mode.
"Cannot access the installer file." -- your network blocks *.appinstaller downloads. Contact JDD support.
